Summary: From 2011 through 2024 Naperville Area Humane Society has built a strong financial foundation, with assets growing from about $1.57M in 2011 to roughly $4.35M in 2024, giving the organization a sizable reserve. Revenues have varied—peaking in 2021 and rebounding to about $1.02M in 2024—while expenses increased recently to about $1.37M, leading to operating shortfalls in 2023–2024. Importantly, liabilities were reduced to zero in 2024, which improves net asset position and financial flexibility. Overall the shelter appears stable and well-capitalized; focusing on aligning spending with the recovering revenue trend will support continued sustainability and program reliability.
