FAQ FAQ
What is the main goal of the Clear The Shelters event?
The main goal is to help homeless pets find loving, forever homes by showcasing adoptable animals and connecting them with potential adopters in the community.
How can I be most effective in supporting the cause if I’m not ready to adopt?
If you’re not adopting, you can still support by spreading the word about the event, volunteering to help during the event, donating supplies or funds directly to SAYv Animal Organization, or fostering animals to give them temporary homes.
Are there any tips for interacting with the animals to increase adoption chances?
Approach animals calmly and gently, ask volunteers about each pet’s personality and needs, and spend time getting to know them. This helps find the best match and shows the animals feel comfortable and loved.
What precautions should attendees take due to weather or other safety concerns?
Since the event is outdoors, attendees should dress appropriately for the weather, stay hydrated, and follow any health and safety guidelines posted at the event, including social distancing or mask measures if applicable.
How can I learn more about SAYv Animal Organization’s mission and ongoing work?
Volunteers from SAYv will be available at the event to share information about their mission, ways to get involved, and how ongoing support helps improve the lives of homeless pets year-round.
