How do ticket sales, raffle entries, and donations help SAYv animals?

Proceeds directly fund SAYv's rescue work: medical care (vaccines, spay/neuter, emergency vet bills), transport, shelter supplies, foster support, and adoption services. Raffle and ticket revenue reduces the cost of care so more animals can be rescued and placed into loving homes.

What are the best ways I can make the biggest impact while I'm at the event?

Buy a ticket and raffle entries, make an on-site donation, bring items from SAYv's wish list (clean towels/blankets, KMR kitten formula, puppy food, gentle toys, leashes), sign up to volunteer or foster, and promote adoptable animals on your social channels. Even small actions—sharing posts or bringing a friend—help increase adoptions and donations.

I'm interested in adopting — what should I expect at the event?

Meet-and-greets with adoptable dogs will be hosted by SAYv volunteers. If you connect with an animal, staff will walk you through the application and screening (references, household questions) and explain adoption fees and included veterinary care. Some adoptions can be completed the same day; others may require follow-up home checks or appointments. Bring ID and be prepared to answer questions about your home and pet-care plans.

How can I sign up to volunteer, foster, or sponsor if I want to help beyond attending?

Visit SAYv's information table at the event or go to their website to complete a volunteer/foster application. Volunteer roles include event help, dog walking, transport, and social media support. Are there health and safety precautions I should follow for my pet and others?

Please only bring well-socialized, up-to-date-vaccination dogs. Keep dogs on a secure leash and under control at all times, and bring waste bags, water, and a bowl. In hot weather, consider leaving your pet at home or checking on shade/cooling options—heat stress can be serious. If you or your pet are ill, or your pet is not comfortable around crowds, it's best to enjoy the event without bringing them. Follow any on-site volunteer guidance for everyone's safety.
