Kitties, Canines and Cruisers - Motorcycle Rescue Rally

Join us for a one-of-a-kind day bringing together animal rescue, community, and (if you’re into riding!) motorcycles — all for a shared mission.

SAYv Animal Organization is proud to be part of Kitties, Canines and Cruisers!

There are two parts to this event:

  1. A motorcycle fundraising ride (details below)

  2. A community fair (no motorcycle required!)

FAQ FAQ
How can I make the biggest impact for the rescues that day?
Give time, money, or resources — and plan ahead. Pre-fill adoption or foster applications at sayvanimals.org/adopt, bring cash or card for adoption fees/raffles, donate needed supplies (blankets, food, leashes, puppy pads) or sponsor an adoption fee. Volunteer to help at the fair or with setup/cleanup, and amplify the mission by taking photos, sharing adoptable animal posts on social with event tags, and asking friends to attend or donate.
I'm a rider — what are the most effective fundraising strategies for the Motorcycle Rescue Rally?
Create a personal fundraiser linked to the ride page (stsff-kcc.org), set a clear goal, and tell a short personal story about why you support SAYv. Share your page widely on social media and via text/email before the ride, ask for small recurring pledges, offer incentives (e.g., raffle entry for donors), bring QR codes or printed pledge sheets for the ride, and thank donors publicly after the event to encourage larger donations and repeat support.
What should I bring and expect if I want to adopt an animal that day?
Bring a valid photo ID, proof of address (if required), and any landlord or household permission if applicable. If possible, complete or start the adoption application online beforehand at sayvanimals.org/adopt to speed the process. Expect meet-and-greets with handlers, adoption fees, and possibly a brief interview or home-check follow-up. Bring a secure carrier or leash to take a new pet home the same day if approved.
How should I behave around adoptable animals to keep them calm and safe?
Always ask the handler before approaching. Let the animal come to you, avoid sudden movements or loud noises, and refrain from hugging or reaching over heads. Supervise children closely, don’t feed animals unless a handler says it’s OK, and watch for stress signals (tucked tail, growling, avoiding eye contact). Follow handler instructions for introductions and photo requests.
Any weather or safety tips I should prepare for?
Dress in layers and bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen) plus water for yourself; event areas may be sunny or on gravel. For animals, don’t leave pets in cars and bring a blanket or towel for them to sit on. Riders should wear appropriate protective gear and secure loose items. Check event updates for rain or schedule changes, and be prepared to move to shaded or covered areas if temperatures rise.
