About 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters each year—every adoption, foster placement, or donation helps reduce overcrowding and saves lives.

Approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized annually; boosting adoptions, fostering, and community support directly lowers that number.

Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to prevent unwanted litters and reduce future shelter intake—supporting low-cost clinics or promoting spay/neuter helps the whole community.

Foster volunteers and community helpers are lifelines for rescues—many shelters depend on fosters and volunteer teams to care for animals and increase adoption rates.

Adopting from rescues often means animals receive vaccinations, medical screening, and microchipping—your adoption support gets pets healthy and ready for loving homes.

Interacting with pets can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and relieve loneliness—supporting animal welfare benefits both animals and people in your community.
